Daniel Hernandez
Daniel started playing at the age of 16 in his Grandfather’s church in West Whittier, CA. Not being satisfied musically and having recently heard Gospel music for the first time, He headed out to L.A. and stopped at the first Afro-American church he could find. Greater Emmanuel Temple was the place in Lynwood, CA. He watched and learned and soon was playing for the church and their choir.
During that time he landed gigs with such Gospel names as The Winans, Mighty Clouds of joy, The Hawkins Family, Andrae Crouch, and a live DVD with Alexis Joi. Prince, Morris Day & The Time , Tone-Loc, Madonna, Sheena Easton, Mellow Man Ace, Vanilla Ice, Gerardo, Kid Frost, Louie Louie, Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips, Jonathan Mover, Mana’, Luis Enrique, Dennis Elliott - Regulars at The Baked Potato Night Club. Also, Alice In Chains and lived and played with Robin DiMaggio for five years. These are just a handful of the Artists and players he has worked for.
Motown (Gloria Jones), Warner Bros. (Oscar Fields), Paramount Recording and M.E.G. (Fred Moultrie) were the studios and agents he has worked for. He currently has multiple church gigs for COGIC (Church of God in Christ), 1.Faith Center Ministries, 2. West Angeles as well as their conventions. COGIC has more than 6 million members in over 60 countries. My home churches #’s 1 & 2 have 700 and 6,200 members respectively.
Daniel is also currently playing Bass for Mia Karter & The Hits, a popular Top 40 Band that gigs 4 to 6 times a month. He also plays Bass and helped put together THE WINEHOUSE EXPERIENCE , Hearts Of Fire, Iconic which consistently has sold out shows at Harvelle's Long Beach , Bella Terra Ampitheatre, The Gaslamp Long Beach , The Plaza Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Music Box - San Diego Motor City Casino - Detroit. We have just signed on with Jaki Baskow Entertainment "The Queen of Vegas" for U.S. and P.G.I. for Canada.
