Matthew Meyers

Matthew Meyers is a professional musician and the bassist for Michigan’s own Dragon Wagon, a staple midwest Americana band. When not on the road with Dragon Wagon he can be found playing solo performances, and has hosted clinics for MTD Basses, Bartolini Electronics, and GHS strings. He is known for his advanced use of many styles on his   custom six string MTD bass, affectionately known as Helga.

His musical career began in his teens as a founding member of Dayton Ohio’s perennial punk band Liquid Legbone, and progressed through the years to vocal and bass duties with some of the best touring punk and thrash bands in the area. He has recorded and toured with Liquid Legbone, Workhorse, Valve, Evolotto, The Brass Tacks Five, Bathhousebetty, and most currently Dragon Wagon. 

Dragon Wagon can be heard year round playing at bars, breweries, and festivals across the Midwest. Comprised of dedicated, award winning musicians with varied musical backgrounds and influences, a Dragon Wagon show is one you don’t want to miss!
