Tim McCaffrey
Tim McCaffrey is the singer/songwriter and drummer for the rock band The Neighborhood Sound. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Tim’s musical journey began as a drummer, performing with various bands throughout the Bay Area. In the late ’90s, he spent a stint as a session drummer at Young Studio in Southern California’s Inland Empire. After the birth of his first child, Tim relocated to the Central Sierra near Yosemite, embracing family life but never stepping too far from his musical roots.
In 2011, he joined The Little Fuller Band as a rhythm guitarist and soon emerged as the band’s primary singer/songwriter. Their dynamic sound led them to international stages. When the band eventually parted ways, Tim drew inspiration from his musical heroes and transitioned to electric guitar, forming the band Three To Get, which paid homage to the rock and roll of the late ’60s and early ’70s.
Tim’s musical evolution continued when he met Adam Dragland, an accomplished songwriter and guitarist from San Francisco (known for his work with Dragland, Goldminor, Kat Robichaud, and The First Church of the Sacred Silversexual). Alongside Jonny Sidorvich (bass) and Joey Garcia (guitar), they formed The Neighborhood Sound. Tim remains active in the music scene, collaborating with various artists like Willis & Watson, Cole Hinkle & the Debauchery, and Nathan Ignacio, and Chris Doud, continuing to leave his mark on the world of music.
Tim met Keith through Skeez Nava (the original bass player for Three To Get) and immediately knew he wanted to be a part of this family. Good people, an amazing FAMILY of endorsers and a top-of-the-line product. Tim strictly uses ONLY Tsunami Cables, in the studio and on the road, knowing that the best sound you can get starts at the source and Tsunami Cables are “the best cables around. PERIOD!”
